Suisse

Alsace has a common border with Switzerland, and particularly with the canton of Basel. It is very common for the Alsacians to visit Switzerland, particularly for the people living in the south part of Alsace. Many Alsacians work in Basel, mostly in the pharmaceutical industry.

During a week-end in Alsace, it can be very unjoyable to cross the border to visit the pretty city of Basel. The only drawback is the cost of living, which is very high.
